KRH transmits first fully digital birth notification
Klinikum Region Hannover (KRH) has registered its first fully digital birth notification. Live operation began this morning — no printouts, no scans, no manual processing.
The notification was captured directly in the hospital information system, qualified electronically signed, and transmitted machine-to-machine (M2M) to the civil registry office via DVDV intermediaries, running on GovConnect’s government infrastructure.
Kiel Model in national operation
The solution is built on Vertama’s DiGG — originally developed together with the city of Kiel. KRH is the first external site to take the process into live operation. The solution is KIS-agnostic and designed to scale without major IT changes. Next in development: the digital death notification, also using direct M2M transmission via DVDV intermediaries.
