Vertama launches DUBA: digital solution for court applications directly from the hospital

Vertama is launching DUBA — Digitale Unterbringungsanweisung — a product that fully digitises one of the most legally sensitive processes in hospital care: applications for judicial approval of involuntary commitment and restrictive measures. These can now be submitted in a legally compliant manner via the secure government electronic mailbox (beBPo), directly from the hospital information system.

The first productive implementation was delivered at Klinikum Region Hannover (KRH), which has already digitised clinical reporting at scale and was among the first adopters of Vertama’s digital birth notification (DiGG). For beBPo communication, Vertama relies on the technology of FP/digital.
